Paste
The Paste action is found on the Edit Menu. Its default keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+V.
If the current focus in in the text view area, the Paste action will paste the text or image from the environment's clipboard — not the program's internal clipboards — to the currently active note's editing area at the cursor's present location.
If an entire note has been clipped to the clipboard and it is pasted to the Note Pane, the clipped note will be converted to text, with the note title on a separate line at the beginning of the pasted text, separated from the pasted text by a blank line.
However, if the focus is on a note's title in the Tree Pane, the option pastes the note or branch last cut or copied to the internal clipboard to the current document as a child of the selected note.
If the focus is in the Tree Pane and no note title is selected, (e.g., a new outline has just been created and has no notes yet), the pasted branch is pasted with its parent as a root note.
Text may also be pasted to data entry fields in dialogs. For example you may copy a web address from a browser's location field and paste it into the URL field in the Link Properties dialog when creating a hyperlink.
